The material of this report is based on the appendices which were resected in the surgical services in Kwangju district during 2 years, from August, 1967 to July, 1969 under the diagnosis of appendicitis.
The object of this report is to evaluate practical situations of appendicitis related to parasites.
Among 200 cases, 51 cases (25.5%) Ascaris eggs, 2 cases (1%) Ascaris adult worm, 24 cases (12%) Ova of Whipworm, and 6 cases (3%) Pinworm are found.
